Nostalgic...

So I went to my last convention this past weekend (at least for the next few years) in Nashville. It's a small convention called Geek Media Expo (or GMX for short). I was helping out with a friend, Morlock and his booth which was interesting. I'm really not the best sales person, but just being the booth babe seemed to get people to come. lol ;) Anywhoz, he sells Steampunk/Cyberpunk stuff! Alasse got some of his goggles from MTAC this year and I got a little clip on magnifier for my glasses which is pretty cool. I used it in my Steampunk outfit (which totally won "judges favorite" in the costume contest). Not an excellent picture, but still cool. The propeller is actually Boy's prop he used for his steam outfit. I'll have to scan in the actual photo of us three later. Anywhoz, it was fun, but that's not what I'm nostalgic about....

During this convention they had the most epic thing ever and I'm sad I did not go, but I was super tired and didn't care at the time.... They had Saturday morning cartoons... Old school cartoons. The good ones. Not today's crappy cartoons (I have no idea what these kids are watching these days), but I heard they had bugs, tom and jerry, yogi bear, flinstones, heman, power rangers, the good stuff!! How awesome is that!? They also had crack! (translation: crack=cereal... see hillarious and truthful video)
Soooo, I'm toats sad I missed that. BUT, to go along with that, I was catching up on my friends and reading their posts, when my good friend posted this. I have not built a pillow/blanket fort in so long... Am I too old for that? Because this is my plan now...

I want to watch movies/anime or play games late into the night just like we used to do on Mopey Mondays, Tipsy Tuesdays or for late girly nights in Memphis with pizza and popcorn and IBC Cream Soda, etc. Watch them UNDER the massive fort that we have crated taking over the whole of the living room and furniture and blankets. THEN all fall asleep from the crash of sugar overdose, waking up Saturday morning under this fort, having pumpkin waffles, crack, apple cider syrup, bacon and watching the old school awesome cartoons that were good back in the day. How epicly awesome can we get? Is there anything I'm missing? I can't think of anything... zomg, can I do this for my bacholorette party? *sigh* Those were the good days.

I feel so old now... Am I too old to do that anymore? I am going to be turning 25 after I get back from my mission... I found 3 grey hairs on my head. It made me sad. It also made me sad that a tween at work who had never seen The Lion King... Nor did she know who Darkwing Duck was. That poor child.
