Christmas 2009...

...yay. I survived another year. It's been quite the year.... It's been an interestingly rough ride through the Holiday's this year, but definitely not as crazy as last year. It's been slower this month, but being sick kinda made it seem slower. I think I'm getting better. At least I can kinda breathe again. Stupid nose...

Though it may seem contrary if you have read my Facebook statuses, I am trying to be cheery and in the Christmas Spirit, but it really just isn't there this year and it makes me sad.
This year at work has really hit me hard with the stress from work and the stress that others have that seep into my own self and make me feel so pressured. Making sure everything is alright and getting done, things aren't getting messed up and pieces are out on time at work, has really been hurting my spirit this year. I've made a few very expensive mistakes and more angry customers than I would've liked, had to have Joey come in to calm me down from a few mental breakdowns, but we got through Christmas and that was the important part. Right? I'm just glad it's over.
At home I baked some sugar cookies (which I always mess up every year, so there's one bad batch and one good batch again this year) and made dad some of his Splenda pecan cookies which are actually pretty good. We also made some ornament cake balls like Bakerella. You bake a cake, mix it up with some frosting and mold it. For Halloween, we made ghosts, Frankenstines and black cats. It was interesting this year making the reindeer and Santa hats and ornaments. I want to make the sheep she has posted for Easter. Those are freaking adorable. Anyways, I gave some cookies to my friend who had to work today and by the time I was done, dad was home from work so we could open presents and celebrate. I won't delve too much into what I got because I hate doing that... but I did get a few things that I really wasn't expecting from mom and dad. I got some books, clothing, three awesome jackets that I can't wait to wear and some video game things from them! I was not expecting that. They're all "no video games", but they got me two DS games, Rockband 2 and Rockband Beatles! Plus a new Wii controller and nunchuck! It was amazing!! I also got a few things to help organize my room a bit more so my stuff isn't everywhere... Even though it is. They always spend way too much on me, but it's awesome that they actually were able to get the right video games thanks to my friends. My list was rather expensive this year, so I wasn't expecting much! :) I think the only thing left on my list now is a marimba. I would like to make a marimba, but I don't have the means to do so... I'll have to talk to some connections to possibly help me out. It would be a WHOLE lot cheaper than buying the $7000 or more instrument.
I got a few interesting things from my friends. Target giftcards are always my favorite. :) Got Okami for the Wii, some awesome socks and I think the best present ever is that on January 16th.... I'M GOING TO GO TO A BEATLES CONCERT!!! lol Course it's no the real Beatles, but it's supposed to be the closest thing to it...
Crazies. I love y'all. Thank you. :)

All in all, this year has been really hard for me trying to hold myself up, BUT thanks to all my friends and fans who have been there, left comments, or just came to read my rants and crap. You've made a difference wether you really think so or not. May you all have a Merry Christmas and enjoy your Holiday. I hope you give to someone with the upmost feeling of heart and not just to get something back. ;) Remember to smile no matter what too, because you don't know whose day you can make better. Smiles are attractive, don't be angry. It seems like this month I've mainly seen frowns. I promise I'll try and be more optimistic this upcoming year too, okay? :) That'll be my New Years Resolution. I'll only be mopey once a week and not once a day. lol That and maybe finishing school? Lets hope.

Happy Holidays!

Huzzah!!

So, here's a few pictures from Thanksgiving. :) I had a lot of fun with my cousins. They're the best. This is Logan, Jen and I carmelldancin in front of the Hallmark Headquarters after my Aunt's Retirement party. I love my awesome family. We stayed awake until about 3am playing rock band the night before. It was a BLAST! Thanksgiving was great too. I've never had so much food at Thanksgiving before! (usually it's just me mom and dad for a fat-free sugar-free feast... wooo....) So this was quite enjoyable. I think I had 3rds or 4ths of everything and one slice of every pie (that would be pumpkin, cherry, french silk, pecan and apple). I have 5 cousins, 2 of them are married and 1 has a baby so there was LOTS of food! Food food food! 0.0 Anywhoz.... *ahem*

On our trip we brought Kate.... Mom totally has fallen in love with the dog. She hated her at first, but Kate it totally mom's dog now... Kinda makes me sad... Anywhoz, we brought her along on the trip, which was great cause I didn't have to worry about who to give her to or how she would be during that week. During the 16 hour drive (to and from) she was really good! Dad even let her drive some! It was a great Thanksgiving.

BUT that's really not the reason I'm posting..... THIS is: THIS.... is my room.... Holy guacamole, I know.... That's only 1/2 of it too. I was standing on my stool above my dresser in order to take the picture with my phone. To my right is my bed covered in dirty clothes, stuffed animals and is unmade. The dresser on the left usually has a dirty hamster cage on it with cedar shavings everywhere. All those boxes, are Christmas presents on top of my French class notes from College, my fix it and use it boxes, obviously my portfolio against the wall and a bunch of other art junk. Art art art, that's what most of it is. My white desk has my mini easel on it with my clipboard to put the big sketchbooks on it. In the corner over there are old sketchbooks, etc. Behind me are three piles of dirty clothes (reds, darks, and jeans... whites were in the washer), shoes from the closet, another box for ebay stuff to sell, my guitars and nightstand mess..... I started my whites at 9:30-10:00ish and started cleaning. Got 4 phone calls from work asking me to come in to load later and then by 4:00pm, after organizing, dusting, laundry and vacuuming, I finally achieved THIS: *insert final fantasy victory dance here*
Amazing, yes... I have been dreading cleaning that area for the longest time because of all the crap there. There is so much that I want to work on in the corner that I didn't want to go through it afraid I would get sidetracked and work on something bound to never finish cleaning as always. I did it though! And I feel VERY accomplished. You should be proud of me, seriously. I am not known for my clean room. Ask Alasse. It's impossible. In fact, it's dirty again... I have new dirty laundry, an unmade bed that needs sheets changed and two new boxes for Christmas stuffs that I need to ship out to Utah, Baltimore and Texas. ^_^ Once I get all the Christmas presents out from under my bed and shipped off, get my dirty laundry basket back and change my sheets, it should be ok. When I will do that... I dunno when my next day off is. >.> Probably Sunday. Wait, no. I have to cook Sunday and will have company. Sometime! I just hope I can keep the energy up I need to do it. ^_^

I am so proud of myself! I can think straight now on what I need to work on!
Huzzah!

Happy Turkey Day!!

I'm in Kansas City, Missouri for the Holidays this week! I hope everyone is enjoying their Holiday! I am! ^_^ I can't wait to have a non-fat free sugar free holiday!! Yay! Real pumpkin and apple pie with awesome fattening mashed potatoes and gravy! Huzzah! It'll be awesome! (For those of you who don't know, my dad is diabetic and has heart disease so we don't eat sugary or fatty foods... this might be the cause for my sweet tooth...)

Anywhoz, I wanted to say that you might not hear from me very much during the Holidays. Work is getting busy busy and I did not have a chance to sit down once during the last shift I had. It was intense and that was on Saturday morning. Saturday's are usually busy, but when we have to turn people away because tables aren't avaliable, that can get rough. Not to mention we're kinda short handed. Which sucks. My manager made sure to let me know that she will be working me to the bone, which I guess is good, but I get worn out with the "Hey y'all are ya here to paint?" and by the end of the day I'm totally worn out. Good thing I have the majority of my Christmas Shopping done!! Huzzah! Now I just need to mail them once December hits.

So if I don't talk to you until then, Happy Turkey Day and Merry Cranberry!!
